Men and women who previously identified as LGBT gathered in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday to protest the recent passage of a bill that could prohibit Americans from seeking therapy for same-sex attraction. The Equality Act, passed by the House of Representatives in May of this year, declared that the practice of so-called “conversion therapy” is “a form of discrimination that harms LGBTQ people.” In April, the editors of National Review Online wrote that the act sets a “dangerous precedent” that may force doctors and health care practitioners to pursue pro-LGBT treatment against their own judgment.

Israeli archeologists recently discovered a massive new city dating from the Bronze Age, in a site sprawling more than 100 acres. The enormous find, located by the Israeli infrastructure company Netivei Israel, likely held around 6,000 inhabitants. It dates from the 4th millennium BC.
